KTVD is currently not available on DISH. That means DISH is taking away your access to your favorite MYNET programming, including your favorite entertainment programming, as well as your local news, weather and sports. Tell DISH to bring back KTVD, by calling 1-855-318-0572.

Information about KTVD

In order for our station, KTVD, to be delivered to your home, we negotiate agreements for the rights to carry our station with video service providers like DISH. KTVD has agreements in place with all of the video providers in our area, including Charter, Comcast, DirecTV and Time Warner Cable. In fact, we have never had a service disruption with a major distributor before.

Unfortunately, DISH refused to reach a fair, market-based agreement with us, which is why our station is not currently available on DISH.

Q:           Why did DISH refuse to reach an agreement to carry KTVD?

A:          We cannot speak for DISH. But here is what our viewers should know: KTVD is committed to reaching fair, market-based agreements with all the video service providers in our area. Our track record proves it. We have never had a service disruption with a major distributor. In fact, over the past few years we reached multi-year deals with cable and satellite companies all across the country, including Charter, Comcast, Cox Cable and Cable One. The terms we are discussing with DISH are along the same lines as those that allowed us to reach deals with all those companies.

DISH, on the other hand, has a track record of denying customers like you with the channels you pay for. In fact, just this past August DISH blacked out broadcast networks in dozens of markets across the country, impacting millions. Now, you and millions of families like yours are once again being denied access to a valuable local broadcast channel.

Q:          Will KTVD ever be back on the DISH system?

A:          We hope so. It is really up to DISH to decide. We are committed to returning to the negotiating table as soon as possible and reaching a fair deal along the same lines that have allowed us to reach deals with so many other providers. If DISH is willing to make the same commitment then we are confident that we can get an agreement that restores our station to the DISH lineup.

Q:          What can I do to avoid missing my favorite sports, news and shows?

A:          The good news is that you have choices. First, KTVD is available on other video service providers in our area including Charter, Comcast, DirecTV and Time Warner Cable and you can always get KTVD free over-the-air.

Q:          I have heard DISH say that KTVD is demanding a big fee increase, which would lead to higher cable bills. Is that true?

A:          KTVD has successfully negotiated agreements with all the other providers in our area based on the same basic terms that are being offered to DISH.

In fact, over the past few years we reached deals with cable and satellite companies all across the county.  Those providers all felt that they were able to reach a fair deal with us, while continuing to offer value to their subscribers and there is no reason why this negotiation with DISH should be different.

Q:          Isn’t it unfair that I lose access to a channel that I’m paying for just because two companies can’t reach a deal?

A:          We agree – it is unfair. After all, you pay your bill to DISH every month. You deserve the full set of channels you are paying for. That is why we are working hard to reach a fair, market-based deal with DISH based on similar terms to the deals we have with the other providers in our area.
